Part of the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, the preservation of the 1913 wood-constructed Vancouver Fire Hall No.

15 was a priority for the project team.

RJC provided structural engineering services for the project which included an addition and renovation of the two-storey building.

The renovation included the addition of three new truck apparatus bays, three bedrooms, an eight-bed dormitory, kitchen, training and fitness facilities, fire prevention offices, general offices, hose drying tower and a generator backup.

The project introduced the first Nail Laminated Timber (NLT) roof structure.

The project is LEED Gold Certified.
