RJC took the lead as prime consultant for the significant revitalization of 950 Edge Place in Victoria.

The BC housing site, comprising five two-storey townhouse pods, each housing four residential units, underwent a comprehensive $5M transformation focused on enhancing energy efficiency and functionality.Key upgrades included replacing the entire building enclosure with a new exterior rainscreen wall system featuring continuous insulation.

Windows and patio doors were also upgraded, alongside the installation of new heat recovery ventilators, heat pumps, and improved domestic hot water tanks.

Lighting across the site was modernized, while two residential units were expanded and made wheelchair accessible to meet diverse housing needs.

The project scope extended to infrastructure improvements, such as upgrading perimeter drain tile and below-grade storm systems.Interior enhancements encompassed new floors, cabinets, bathtubs, and fresh paint throughout the units.

Throughout the process, RJC effectively coordinated with project teams, BC Housing, and contractors, to deliver a phased program that prioritized resident comfort and minimized construction impact.
