The project involves the completion of the phased demolition of the existing North Building at the University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus.

The $89M Maagjiwe nendamowinan project involves replacement of the existing building with a visually-striking facility that is technologically innovative, energy-efficient, and ecologically sustainable.

Covering approximately 220,595 sq. ft., the building is six storeys tall with a mechanical penthouse.

The construction involved connection to the recently completed Deerfield Hall and includes new space to house academic departments and smaller-sized classrooms geared to tutorial and small-group activities, collaborative research spaces, technology support and new space for the Academic Skills Centre.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Departments were consolidated, and new instructional, study and event space was created.

LEED Silver certified.
