Geoff Kallweit

Geoff is esteemed for his leadership, communication, thoughtful approach and engineering abilities. He specializes in pedestrian and vehicular bridges, light rail transit stations and other civil infrastructure. He considers the implementation of his designs from the very beginning, taking into account constructability and the impact a solution has on its users and environment
He is a strong, experienced and reliable engineer who understands the importance of communication, collaboration and timely decision-making. He has a solid understanding of the specific and unique requirements for bridge and transit structures and takes a holistic approach to his projects.
His ability to turn vision into structural reality has resulted in many successful projects ranging from streetlights to internationally award winning structures such as Columbia Icefield Skywalk, which received an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Consulting Engineers, our discipline’s highest honour.
Geoff is a graduate of the University of Calgary. He continues to share his knowledge with his alma mater as a guest lecturer and industry advisor. He was also a sessional instructor with the Faculty of Environmental Design Architecture (EVDA).Geoff has presented his work at the International Short and Medium Span Bridge Conference, the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction, Consulting Engineers of Alberta and the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering.
