CANDIDATE PROFILE


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support the Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions by providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with a strong focus on cash management, liquidity, equity and corporate share management, and financial risk analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive strategic financial decisions.

Salary: $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide in-depth analysis of cash flow, liquidity, and treasury-related financial data.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial models for decision-making purposes, focusing on forecasting operational cash flow,working capital, and investments.
• Oversee the administration of the corporate share registry, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of shareholder records.
• Collaborate with treasury and finance teams to develop accurate forecasts for cash flows, working capital, and funding requirements.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Take an active role in the design and development of FP&A features for a new ERP module.
• Assist with managing and optimizing the company's cash positions and short-term investment strategies.
• Report on equity capital structure and manage corporate share registers, which includes calculating return on investment (ROI), assisting in   share compensation calculations, and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to streamline treasury processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and automate manual tasks (including leveraging the Power BI suite of applications).
• Synthesize high volumes of data into meaningful insights to assist in decision-making.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure proper documentation and reporting of shareholder activities.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and financial modeling. Background in data mining, Power BI or other automation experience     is an asset.
• Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity analysis, debt management, and financial forecasting.
• An inquisitive nature with strong attention to detail and an aptitude for critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Education

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Computer Sciences
• Professional Accountant, CPA or equivalent.
