Ryan Coles Receives Canadian Condominium Institute’s New Leader Designation
- Details
RJC Principal Ryan Coles received the Canadian Condominium Institute’s (CCI) new designation, Leader of the Canadian Condominium Institute (LCCI). The designation recognizes leaders in Canada’s condominium industry who are active and contribute to the CCI.
“CCI is a great resource and advocate for condominium industry stakeholders, I’m proud to be a part of this organization” states Coles. “Achieving the LCCI designation is important to me to demonstrate my commitment to CCI, our industry and education. I encourage other engineers to join CCI, and to explore working towards this valuable designation.”
Ryan is a well known and respected at both the Chapter and National level. Ryan is President of the CCI’s Southern Alberta Chapter, which represents over 6000 Condominium owners among many other industry stakeholders, and he regularly contributes to CCI publications and conferences.
He has established himself as a trusted advisor for condominium boards and property managers across southern Alberta, providing reserve fund studies, assessments, maintenance and rehabilitation advice. He puts himself in the client’s shoes by thinking about how a construction project or planning may affect the owner and occupants. Responsiveness is a key trait Ryan embodies and mentors in his team, bringing the same professional communication to commercial property projects as they do at condominium board meetings.
This new designation recognizes members of CCI who provide services to the condominium industry, have been a member in good standing for at least five years, abide by the code of conduct and participate in CCI at the Chapter and/or National level, including roles on committees and conference attendance. Applicants must provide at least two references, proof of public speaking/presentations on CCI topics and at least two published articles on condominium related topics. Applications are reviewed by the Chapter and recommendations are made to the National Executive who review the Chapter recommendation.
Receiving this designation highlights the valuable contributions that engineers make within the condominium industry. Many, like Ryan, provide services, education and expertise to help condominiums protect, restore and upgrade their assets.
