SALARY RANGE: $190,000 – $220,000 (dependent on experience)

Candidate Profile

The Vice President of Technical Services will spearhead our technical services department, ensuring that technology initiatives are strategically aligned with organizational objectives. This pivotal role demands extensive expertise in technology strategy, stakeholder engagement, and organizational effectiveness. You will play a key role in shaping our IT strategy and driving modernization efforts throughout the organization. You will identify and implement emerging technologies that foster innovation and provide a competitive edge. Additionally, you will promote a collaborative culture between IT and other departments. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will formulate actionable strategies that guarantee systems are robust, secure, and scalable. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our technology roadmap and enhancing operational effectiveness.

Duties & Responsibilities:


• Develop an IT strategic plan, roadmap, and technology implementation plan to enable RJC’s long-term goals and mitigate enterprise-wide strategic and operational risks.
• Develop and/or update documentation, including IT-related policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures as required.
• Demonstrate leadership competencies to deliver, inspire, connect, and transform at a senior management level (Directors, Team Leads, and Executive team).
• Evaluate cyber and infrastructure risks, develop a plan to address any gaps identified, and execute key components of the plan.
• Oversee data governance across the firm, ensuring compliance with data privacy, storage, and accessibility standards.
• Understand and analyze data flow within the professional services organization, ensuring effective data structure.
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technological (hardware, software & licensing) needs.
• Design and oversee disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure organizational resilience.
• Lead and own the procurement process for applications, ensuring standardization of selection criteria, controls, and approval processes.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership to direct reports in managing the development and implementation of technology.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations, projects, and team performance.
• Evaluate and determine the IT staffing requirements to enable long-term goals.
• Control the budget and report on expenditure.
• Be a champion of change and innovation with positive results.

Skills & Experience:


• Minimum of 10 years’ IT experience, and demonstrated progressive experience in leadership, strategic planning, change management and planning and project management.
• Supported a full-cycle implementation of an ERP system, including data migration and system integration.
• Demonstrated experience as IT Director supporting a professional services organization.
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
• Sound understanding of modern cloud infrastructure and current security frameworks, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage internal customer service issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
• Experience managing a hybrid/remote team.
• Proven experience leading change management initiatives, especially during large-scale IT transformations.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse business units to achieve strategic objectives.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and continuity planning within IT operations.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, or a related field is required, although 15 years of equivalent professional experience may be accepted as a substitute.
• Minimum Six years’ experience directing, an IT Department and team, including business application systems, wireless technology, cloud computing technology and cybersecurity.
